Re: Bones 12.07 The Scare in the Score

It's funny to see you all talking about how rushed things have been this season. Mainly because in other seasons they've drawn things out to the point of ridiculousness (see: PELANT). So it's kind of sad that they didn't utilize the final 12 episodes a little better, maybe used each one to tell the...

Re: Offtopic Sofa Time

Thanks, Steph. :romance-smileyheart: Sadly, money's still a major issue. I'm trying not to freak out, and instead remember my past experiences and call upon the lessons I've learned over the years and trust that I'll figure it all out. But in the meantime it can still be pretty scary. I'm doing wha...

Re: Bones 12.06 The Flaw in the Saw

Alright, one more episode "review" and then I've got to get to bed! I agree with Sharon - the case in this one was pretty "ehhh." Just okay, another general episode. But like with last episode, I found a lot of humor in it. I chuckled at Christine's emphatic declaration at Booth: "I'm never riding ...

Re: Bones 12.05 The Tutor in the Tussle

Side note to Sharon: that guy is John Boyd's actual father?? You're kidding! That's so cool. And you know who he is, right? Stanley, Josh's therapist in that awesome West Wing episode "The Crackpots and These Women." :romance-smileyheart: Anyway, thanks for the trivia. That's really neat to know.

Re: Bones 12.05 The Tutor in the Tussle

I found this episode pretty funny, but in general, a pretty standard Bones episode, which seems surprising, given that they only have 7 episodes left before the end of the entire series, so why waste it on trivial stuff? *shrugs* At any rate, I did laugh a lot while watching this one. First with Au...

Re: Bones 12.04 The Price for the Past

I've been trying to do a little Bones catch-up yesterday and today. At last, at last! Let's see how far I can get. :D First of all, LOL to Sharon and the "exsanguination" comment. "We just knewwwwww..." ;) Heeehee. Next observation: when will I learn? NEVER eat while watching this show! Never, ever...

Re: The Card Calendar

STEPH! Maybe say "Spoiler Alert" before revealing that kind of info! LOL. I haven't seen that episode yet, so I didn't know! (Not that I have any love for Max, so I remain neutral until I see the episode, but I didn't know about that!) LOL. :laughing-rollingred: Seriously though, I hope you'r...

Re: Offtopic Sofa Time

Crawling out of the woodwork to say hi. I've been in a bit of hibernation from pretty much everyone and everything the past month or so. Things have been pretty stressful financially, and I've been dedicating a lot of time to working on fixing that. I still don't have all the answers, but I'm worki...

Yes, that's it! And from what I recall, Booth was not too pleased about the idea. It is pretty gruesome, even if it's probably "environmentally friendly." Sort of. (LOL).

Re: Bones 12.03 The New Tricks in the Old Dogs

Oh no, Hal Holbrook, say it isn't so... ;) Like Sharon said, it was nice to see these older actors. I've been a fan of Hal's, especially since his work on Designing Women and his guest role on The West Wing, and always wished I could have seen him on stage playing Mark Twain. Again, just a "fine" e...

Re: Bones 12.01 The Hope in the Horror

That is fascinating, Steph! I think most of us would react that way, immediately making that kind of judgment until being otherwise convinced. There's an interesting lesson in that for me, most certainly. And I love how you related it to Hodgins' response about Zack.

Re: Bones 12.02 The Brain in the Bot

I'm one with you, ladies. I too thought this episode was pretty standard. The case was kind of convoluted, jumping from suspect to suspect. In the end, the killer just seemed kind of boring. (Though it was fun to see Max Adler (formerly the awful bully David Karofsky from Glee) as the killer!) I th...

Re: Bones 12.01 The Hope in the Horror

I also find it interesting that a lot of fans didn't seem to understand that scene at the end with Cam and Hodgins and Angela, and that they were pretty much saying Hodgins will not walk again. It was the resolution to that, yet there are still a lot of people that keep asking if he will walk befor...

Re: Bones 12.01 The Hope in the Horror

I think I'm going to need to let this episode simmer for a while, maybe even watch it again before I comment. Usually I have some opinions right off the bat as I'm watching, but with this one I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. Except to say that I would not have been cool with Zack being the kil...

Re: Bones 11.22 The Nightmare In The Nightmare

First off, I'll say this: as I told Sharon over on Facebook, they got me. They really got me good with that opening scene. I knew something was probably going to happen because they were being so intent with the examination of the body and the weirdness of it bleeding. I thought maybe there would b...

Bones 11.21 The Jewel in the Crown

Another episode where I don't have a lot to say. :D It was a fine episode; I liked the twists involving the French woman and how she was the victim but also a criminal, and I liked Aubrey's enthusiasm about getting the opportunity to work on a jewel heist caper/case. I also enjoyed Hodgins' repeate...
