Facebook members - here is where to post your titbits, just as we do/did with MySpace. Love to hear your TJ news.

Just joined Facebook this past week, and it's been a blast! Anyway, I'm friends with TJ on Facebook now, and he has some great posts on the site from his siblings, as well as a darling photo of them as children (TJ looks about 2 or 3 and is such a cutie!). If you haven't joined yet, consider doing so. It's quite easy to register and to manage--easier actually than MySpace (common Steph, I'm talking to you...).

I am on facebook - and friends with TJ too.

Think it's very cool that someone would make themselves available to their fans in that way.

:)

I like facebook better than myspace too, seems easier to me to keep up with the friends I have on there. Plus I love kidnapping people (its an app in facebook), I'm sure you can tell I love it Rebecca, since I keep getting you. Its not hard at all to navigate, loads faster than myspace (I think so anyway) and easier to find people.

The kidnapping has been a fun app to use. I just reached level 4! I'm sure most of my friends are really annoyed right now. Thanks Sharon for being a kidnap-buddy!

I kind of wonder how TJ manages reading his page everyday, considering how many "friends" he has on Facebook. I had to start ignoring friends-of-friends requests because I just have too much to keep up with as it is.

So the question still stands, Steph... and don't let your children tell you what to do (or what not to do!), in case you feel banned from it like you did from MySpace. You're missing out on a lot of fun.

I just let friends see my page. I can't be dealing with friends of friends, I get too many requests from just my friends. I have no idea how TJ reads his everyday either. I did notice he has the "Fan of" page as well, so wonder if he'll ever cull his list and take the fans off of his actual page friends list. Probably not. He's too nice.

Steph, I hope you do decide to join us! It is fun. And then I could kidnap you! HA HA HA HA

I have some friends that every time I escape I'm kidnapped again, so I've slowed down on the escaping thing lately. But I still like it , glad you like it too Rebecca, I won't feel like I kidnap you too much then!

I commented on his status once and quickly regretted it.

Everytime someone else commented I got a notification. :/

Oops!

I don't feel banned from it. David has grown up a lot at uni and already talks to his aunt regularly on FaceBook, so I don't think he'd mind especially. But the same things apply as to MySpace. I get about an hour if I'm lucky per evening on the comp. That's used up doing school research and preparation, keeping up with emails and maintaining and reading this and my other, support, site. Eating, marking and a little bit of telly occupy the rest of the time. I have two choral rehearsals per week too. Occasionally go out with my partner, but family socialising in general, forget it. Why do you think I don't have an LJ? Don't blog? I love writing and used to be a very good diarist; no time now.

I would love to have enough day to create and update a little page of my own. But not being able to keep it up would frustrate me. So would the constant demands of people dropping by just to say hi. That sounds churlish, but it's not meant to; I like to have proper conversations with my friends! I am not of the textminded generation, though I can do it with the best of them. And then there are the people who find you that you wouldn't particularly want as 'friends', probably including a lot of those I have taught in recent years. Maybe some time in the future....I don't discount it. But for now...networking isn't really my thing. I am sad that I don't have that casual TJ access, but it's not enough to tip the balance at present, girls.

Maybe. Life is tending not to feel much fun at the moment though *glances round at chaotic state of surroundings and pile of waiting admin and oral exam tapes to mark*. Sigh. Back to the treadmill.

I'm on facebook too...I can't say I'm much into the apps though. One of my best friends is online 24-7,usually on pet society.
What I like is how easy it makes it to be in touch with people.I actually found some classmates of mine I had completely lost touch with.
So TJ accepts fans in his original facebook page?Well, that is cool!Although I wouldn't feel comfortable requesting him...

Sundy, you shouldn't worry about asking TJ to be added to his friends in Facebook. It isn't that big of a deal to him I don't think. I like pet society. I play that some as well but I'm not as serious about it as a lot of the "players".

Steph, all of that makes sense to me. I will tell you that other than his little status updates you really aren't missing a lot from TJ not being on facebook. And the status updates are just general things usually, right now it says he is looking forward to tomorrow's inaugaration (was put on there last night). Basically that is the extent of the casual access, other than some of the photos that are there, and I think if we wanted to we could add some of those over here. I think he told me I could before. I just haven't seen anything I felt should be over here, though I haven't looked at everything he has on there either.

I understand the crunch for time, Steph. The great thing about Facebook is that it requires no setting up, and a photo is optional. It's generally quick to read your friends' updates, and just as quick to shoot off a quick response. But I'll stop pestering you about it for now... :teasing-poke:

I added him as a friend on Tuesday and he accepted me today. Strangely enough, I just kind of feel like a stalker :D

EDIT: I was going to ask if we're sure that it's really him running that facebook account, but then I saw all the candid photos.

Yes, but even without the candid photos, we knew it was definitely TJ.

But honestly, see how many people he has as friends? I don't think just being one of them is being a stalker. Since he adds anyone who asks I wouldn't think he thinks it is like a stalker either.

I totally agree with you Sharon. When I saw how many friends he has I realised it isn't a big deal to him,so I requested him as well.
And I think what he does is great, giving his fans access to his everyday life. It's not like anyone could blame him if he wanted to stick to people he actually knows.

I've been tempted to add him, but it freaks me out that I might feel like a sort of stalker. xD I already kind of stalk this show enough with all of my psychotic blogging that I do! LOL But I so want to see little baby TJ with his curls and big blue eyes. I bet he was one of those kids that you stopped and thought, "He's gonna be a heart-breaker some day!"

I will think about it longer.... haha. xD
