Oh, forgot - said I'd open my own tub pressie once others had arrived. OK...reaching down... got a beautifully wrapped gold one with a red bow...and it's...oh, it's a magic pen that will do all this weekend's schoolwork for me. What a relief! Don't want that interfering with my fun!

Cool, drinkies I'll be a bit ladylike for starters and have a pinot grigio rose if you have it.
My dress is deep red backless, straight and to the knee accompanied by a pair of skyscraper heel shoes. I decided against the date I mean you can't have the birthday boy as a date and I was thinking Mr B but as he's a married man even virtually that's weird. George Clooney was free but I said no thanks George a bit too much baggage going on there!

Well there's a big buffet here, some quite expensive stuff too lots of tortilla wraps with fillings veggie and otherwise, we've got the usual pastry stuff with vol au vents and rather superior sausage rolls and there's smoked salmon and a never-ending bowl of different flavour crisps, but if you go in the kitchen you'll find the just-cooked food - Mexican, Italian, Indian. You don't have to sit down for it if you don't want to, but we do have loads of cushions and low tables for general chill.

Or chilli.

Oh dear, bad joke, this wine is slipping down too easily I think!

Think I'll go with some crisps for now oh and that veggie pizza looks good.
I'll stand for now than when the heels get too much later I can collapse although I'm not guaranteed to get to my feet again especially after alcohol.
