Have Youself A TJ Christmas 2010

Post by ThyneAlone »

OK and here we are, back again for the third year running and the decorations are going up over the Sofa! Yet again I am unlocking a chance to share our Christmas thoughts, images, experiences, traditions or favourite TJ-at-Christmas moments (for me, Bones-wise, Man In The Fallout Shelter has it all, but I also find Stu Lou Who oddly endearing) - in fact if you have any favourite Christmas eps of anything you watch regularly, this is the place to come and tell us about them. We have many new faces and I'd like to encourage them to read the threads of previous years and contribute to this one. Share the love, because we'll be here for just over a month.

Quote for you all!!

He puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!
Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more!

Angela Montenegro: Okay, you people, listen to me. There is a party going on upstairs. A *Christmas* party. We're going up there. We're gonna talk to some people, we're gonna sing some carols, we're gonna drink some eggnog. [to Booth] *You* are going to kiss me under the mistletoe. On the lips. [to Zack and Hodgins] I might kiss you guys under the mistletoe, too. [to Bones] And maybe even you. In a festive, non-lesbian manner. But we are *going* to that party.

FAVORITE quote. Not Hodgins... but every time I hear it I laugh.

 I love the Waffle Santa!!! Where is it???

Christmas makes me think about all the old movies we had on tv when I was a child :-)
There's one I would love to watch again but can't remember the title... It was a bout a lady who discovered 3 nuts and in each of them there was a special token. It's very old in my memory, so I don't remember everything, I know it was in winter, there was snow everywhere in the movie, it was just beautiful and I would love to watch it again... If anyone has an idea of which movie it is, it would be great!!! :)

Hugs to you all!

Véro

Ps : call me queen of the heater, I finally managed to fix mine... Otherwise I would have had to wait for more than a week to get it fixed by a "specialist" and it would have cost me 50€ at least... I'm very proud of myself :-)

The waffle Santa is a screen capture from the 30-minute Shrek Christmas special called "Shrek the Halls." You should be able to watch the show here, if you want: http://www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/ ... ort/149301 .

Ooooh Ali!!! What a good idea to publish our Christmas List!!! :D

So mine would be :

1) Have a regular job in Rennes or Saint Malo
2) Move to Saint Malo (^_^)
3) Relaxing time... No extra work, just chill!!! :D
4) Oh! Do nothing for Christmas, I mean let someone else prepare dinner and everything :-)
5) Go out around midnight to watch the stars (of course with a clear sky, if there are clouds, this number 5 can't exist...)
6) Love, love, love, and happiness, that would be great
7) Spend Christmas chatting with you all here on the c box :D
8) Blow bubbles and watch them fly
9) Have a lot of birds in my garden eating the food I've hanged for them
10) Meet TJ and give him a basket full of hand made waffles with a nice red ribbon :D

Hahaha!!! Don't know if everything is realistic... :D

Oh and btw - happy St-Nicolas, Nikolaustag or whatever you may call it - we don't celebrate St Nicholas' Day here in the UK so it has been great to hear over the last couple of years what people do to celebrate! :)

Hi all! Nipping in amidst a maelstrom of late Christmas activity to wish you all the best. The combination of the snow, temperatures of -17 at times and the illness from which hubby and I are only just recovering has meant that everything is late. SHARON! Thanks for the card, which arrived this morning! Can't believe you are sending cards with cold scenes on them, as by all accounts you are having quite a warm time! Will have to apologise though - no way will my card be there for a couple of weeks, seeing as I am hoping to post it today (only 2nd day venturing out) and transport is not reliable anyway -trains, planes etc. I can only hope you get it at some stage. Still it is the thought that counts and I'm thinking about everyone. Have you got trees up yet? We put ours up on Saturday to fill the hole created by being unable to get to our much-rehearsed carol concert, grrrr. It looks very festive now and as health begins to re-establish itself (Sherry, I am so sorry for you, I know what it's like - but congrats on your results) I even feel a bit Christmassy. The snow outside is still making the vista look like someone melted a candle all over it, but I see our huge snowman is starting to bend forward a bit, so maybe a thaw is on the way...

I can't send cards based on the weather where I live Steph! LOL They'd look like I'm lost in the desert or on summer vacation one year and the next they'd be blowing away! ;) and the next a blizzard!

'Twas the night before christmas;

there wasn't a sound.

Not a possum was stirring; no-one was around.

We'd left on the table

some tucker and beer,

Hoping that Santa Claus

soon would be here;

We children were snuggled up safe in our beds,

While dreams of pavlova danced 'round in our heads;

And Mum in her nightie,

and Dad in his shorts,

Had just settled down to watch TV sports.

When outside the house

a mad ruckus arose;

Loud squeaking and banging

woke us from our doze.

We ran to the screen door,

peeked cautiously out,

snuck onto the deck,

then let out a shout.

Guess what had woken us up from our snooze,

But a rusty old ute

pulled by eight mighty 'roos.

The cheerful man driving

was giggling with glee,

And we both knew at once

who this plump bloke must be.

Now, I'm telling the truth

it's all dinki-di,

Those eight kangaroos fairly soared through the sky.

Santa leaned out the window

to pull at the reins,

And encouraged the 'roos,

by calling their names.

'Now, Kylie! Now, Kirsty!

Now, Shazza and Shane!

On Kipper! On, Skipper!

On, Bazza and Wayne!

Park up on that water tank.

Grab a quick drink,

I'll scoot down the gum tree.

Be back in a wink!’

So up to the tank those eight kangaroos flew,

With the ute full of toys,

and Santa Claus too.

He slid down the gum tree

and jumped to the ground,

Then in through the window

he sprang with a bound.

He had bright sunburned cheeks

and a milky white beard.

A jolly old joker

was how he appeared.

He wore red stubby shorts

and old thongs on his feet,

And a hat of deep crimson

as shade from the heat.

His eyes - bright as opals -

Oh! how they twinkled!

And, like a goanna,

his skin was quite wrinkled!

His shirt was stretched over

a round bulging belly

Which shook when he moved,

like a plate full of jelly.

A fat stack of prezzie
s
he flung from his back,

And he looked like a swage

unfastening his pack.

He spoke not a word,

but bent down on one knee,

To position our goodies

beneath the yule tree.

Surfboard and footy-ball shapes

for us two.

And for Dad, tongs to use

on the new barbecue.

A mysterious package

he left for our Mum,

Then he turned and he winked

and he held up his thumb;

He strolled out on deck and his ‘roos

came on cue;

Flung his sack in the back and prepared to shoot through.

He bellowed out loud

as they swooped past the gates-

'MERRY CHRISTMAS to all,

and goodonya, MATES!’
