Aww thanks guys!

The concert was actually really good. Not that I expected it to be bad its just that I would have to say it was my first "real" concert (I had gone to see the Backstreet Boys when I was younger) (Don't laugh!) I didn't know what to expect. The whole night was awesome.

A Led Zepplin cover band (they were very very good, I went with my ex)
Alice Cooper/Rob Zombie
Eddie Money
Peter Frampton

And I think I went to a Britney Spears concert when I was like 10. xD
But I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I can't wait to hear who it was :p

It was Linkin Park. The band has been together for 10 years (as they mentioned at the concert) and Jeff and I have been together for 8. When we first met we were the only 2 out of our mutual friends who liked them. We at first bonded over that listing our top 5 favorite songs, then as we started dating and time went on they became a large part of our daily lives. Listening to songs, sharing lyrics back and forth. With every new album that came out we would listen to it together having it as a soundtrack when we were driving together.

It was the first time either of us had seen them in concert, they did a fantastic job. I was excited because they played hits from every album they've put out which made me feel as if I hadn't missed much by not going to other concerts of theirs.

They band themselves have always been very creative and always try new things with each album. The latest one in particular was very different but yet still had their style incorporated which was nice to see performed because they don't just sit there and sing, they put on a show, clips constantly playing behind them showing the influences of that album.

Just to keep you updated:

my presentation went ok. We managed to get 75/100 so that's ok. But it was a different time with my last test. I just had it today, and i totally failed

I'm pretty sure i didn't make it. It was a lot of stress these last days, with everything involving the paperwork around my internship. My school isn't the fastest with grading papers and applications (understatement of the year

)

No news on the guy-front though. I have been away from the internet for a couple of days. But i have the next few days off, so maybe we'll pick up where we left.

I have never seen anything like your "Sofa Time". Everyone seems so sincere and interesting and I can relate to so many of the issues different people have mentioned here. I did not read all 160 pages but I did spend the last hour skipping around and reading different sections - I even have a post it note with screen names vs real names to help me keep up!!

Wait, am I being rude not introducing myself first? Sorry, but I hate that part of the getting to know people process. I do realize it is only fair since I did just admit to reading up on all of you and your lives.

My name is Jennifer and I am a 39 yr old single mom living in Tennessee.
I have two children - my son is 17 and my daughter is 7.
Most of my time outside of work is spent on typical "raising kids and running a household" type activities.
I recently took one of my best friends in as a roommate since I had a spare room and he needed a place to go. (Interesting side notes on the roomie: he is my ex-husband and my son's father.)

Shannon: Congrats on the engagement!! I have been a big fan of Linkin Park for about 8 or 9 years. A few months back my son and I were running errands and a LP song came on the radio and I was SHOCKED that my son and I were BOTH singing along with it. It is not often that he and I like the same bands (besides the Beatles - everyone loves the Beatles, right??) so LP has kind of become "our band". Nice to hear they have that kind of "link" with other people as well.

TNPrincess14 - we love our sofa, it is very comfy and cozy. We use it for a lot of things. Ranting, story telling, life stories, catching everyone up on our lives, gushing about TJ...etc. Your not alone on having to write down everyones names. I think we all do it. Good on you for letting your Ex-husband rent out a room

Its also nice that you describe him as one of your best friends.
