Wow. I hadn't even seen the cover, they didn't have the art work up yet when I posted the links. Interesting choices made there. I hope you can see it sometime Anya.

I really want to see this. So I have pre-ordered a copy!

So the information on Amazon says that the film is in color and the cover art is in color. I know they actually filmed it in color. Wonder if it really is in color on the DVD.

Yes, it was B&W at all the film festivals. They had originally had the website for Shuffle with everything in color too (trailer, photos) and then a few days before the Hollywood premiere they shifted it all to B&W.

I liked it B/W. It had a lovely other-wordly glow to it with slightly softened edges the way that old photos sometimes have when they are in black and white or sepia (that would exclude the hard, shiny black and white of my toddler pictures, but even that was better - anyone remember? - than the sharp greenish tinge of colour photos in the seventies!).
I'm not too struck on the cover art actually. They haven't chosen the bits that stuck most in my mind.

I'd like to see it very much... B&W has the power tonadd something very special, just like Validation... I just loved watching it, except for the end, because there I was sort of (sorry) yelling at TJ like 'get away from her! Michaela should be yourbonly tv girlfriend aaaghh!!' so well, Validation is awesome... But I hope I will be able to get shuffle later because it's a bit pricy for me right now (just a simple 14-year old you know) but I want it very very very much! My first possibility would be early december, Sinterklaas :p i'll beg the ol' man untill he gives me hahaha

Marina, remember if you order Shuffle from a US site that it possibly will not play in your DVD player unless you have one that is region free. Shuffle is only going to be released in the US/Canada region format.
Steph, I think the choices for the cover were not so great either, it definitely does not portray what the film is and makes it look more action oriented. I wonder if they think that will make it sell more.

ow.... so I'm sort of doomed or so... I can't get to meet himself because of school and now the stupid I-live-outside-the-US thingy is coming up again... I wish I lived there sometimes!!!
And speaking of that cover: it looks like it's all action and stuff, but watching the trailer I can't really picture Shuffle being an action film...
I hope I'll find a way to get it over here and play it.. otherwise I'll have to save enough money to go to the US, buy Shuffle, try really hard to meet TJ and return with Shuffle and hopefully a TJ memory hahaha...
Xx

Sharon, you already got your copy of Shuffle on DVD? From where did you order yours? I ordered mine from Amazon and it's not set to ship/arrive until early next week.
I'm looking forward to seeing this film!

Sherry I pre-ordered mine from Amazon as soon as it was listed on there, and at the time I still had free 2 day shipping with my student account. So when I ordered it they gave me the two day shipping, and because I ordered it so long ago, it was shipped Friday of last week so I'd get it on the release date.
You should check into getting your amazon account changed to a student account-they give you a YEAR of free two-day shipping with it and all it requires is to sign up and then they send you an e-mail at your school e-mail account to activate it. Not sure if it is limited to certain schools but it is worth looking into, I'm pretty sure community colleges are on there.

Sharon, do you know where on the Amazon site to find such a thing as that student account setup? I've never heard of it! You always know the fun stuff!
I pre-ordered it a long time ago as well, months ago, but just regular 'free shipping' with an earlier order I'd made (and already received).
I just got an email notification from Amazon this evening, stating that they'd shipped my Shuffle DVD. :eusa-dance: Depending on where it's coming from, I may get it in time for my birthday or on Monday of next week sometime. (Somehow I'm betting it won't show up until Monday, but it would be a very special treat if it showed up on Saturday! *fingers crossed*) I can't wait to see it. Without giving anything away, you still made it sound so intriguing.
Hi Sherry! This should take you to the page explaining it and allow you to sign up. I didn't have to change my account info when I signed up for it, just had to give them the info they wanted and then confirm via the e-mail address. Hope it will work for you.
Guess what was waiting for me tonight when I got home from class at 10 pm???
My Shuffle DVD!
I can't wait to watch it! Of course, the trick will be trying to figure out WHEN I have time to watch it. I've got homework and class this week at night, and work during the day, so I may have to wait until Friday night or the weekend to watch the movie. But I am so, so curious to see it. I can't wait to see what it's all about. The trailer for it is riveting, and I love that TJ seems to have a part he can sink his teeth into.
Anyway, YAY for Shuffle! :eusa-dance:

Now that Shuffle is well and truly out in the market place, how about some reviews? I would find it really interesting to read others' interpretations.
Oh wait, UK members still haven't seen it. Well maybe we could create a Shuffle discussion thread so that over-the-pond life could choose whether to read or not?

It would definitely be fun to discuss it (once I've watched it, this weekend I'll be making time for sure!).
Perhaps the very first post of the thread could have in giant red letters SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT READ THIS THREAD IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE AND DO NOT WANT TO KNOW AHEAD OF TIME WHAT HAPPENS!
Or something like that.
And the subject line of the thread could say Shuffle Film Discussion (SPOILER ALERT) or something like that?
